Licenseless man told to leave vehicle parked; drives away and gets pulled over again

25-year-old William Miller was charged with driving on a suspended license when he got into his vehicle and drove down the highway after an officer already pulled him over for having a suspended license.

On November 7th, Stewart County Sheriff’s Deputy Etherton was patrolling on Highway 79 near Joiner Hollow Road when he was contacted by another deputy regarding a black Lexus and a traffic stop. He stated the driver was found to be driving on a suspended license and was instructed not to move the vehicle until a licensed driver could retrieve it.

The officers said they had left the scene as the driver, William Miller, got into his vehicle and traveled on the highway heading towards Clarksville. Deputy Etherton reported spotting a vehicle matching the description near an Autozone and initiated another traffic stop. When making contact with the driver, he confirmed it to be William, driving the same black Lexus.

William Miller was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
