Police identify vandal; reportedly pelted an F-250 with eggs from Piggly Wiggly

61-year-old William Presley was charged with vandalism after officers identified him as the man shown in surveillance footage throwing eggs at a Ford F-250 in a Piggly Wiggly parking lot.

On November 4th, Dover Police Officer Carl Selph was informed of vandalism in the parking lot of a Piggly Wiggly. A man in a camouflage hat and coat, whom police later identified as William Presley, was seen on surveillance footage throwing eggs at the front of the Ford F-250. Mike Luffman, who owned the Ford F250, claimed it had damage to the clear coat of the hood after the incident. The person who egged the truck was described to be driving a vehicle with white patches, step bars, and a camper shell.

On November 6th, Dover Police Officer Bickford was driving down Donelson Parkway near The Trace when he reported seeing a vehicle matching the description of of the vandal. The driver was wearing the same camouflage hat and coat as seen in the video. The vehicle was searched, and eggs from Piggly Wiggly were located inside. A body shop quoted the damage done to Mike’s vehicle would cost around $500 or more to repair.

William Presley was arrested and charged with vandalism. His bond was set at $2,500. He was later released by court order.
