Woman pulled over for speeding found with jar of marijuana

30-year-old Kristina Allen was charged with speeding, reckless driving, and possession of marijuana after she was spotted speeding too closely behind another vehicle and authorities found marijuana on her person.

On November 10th, Stewart County Sheriff’s Sergeant Robbie Macdonald observed two speeding vehicles on Highway 79 and Donelson Parkway. He initiated a traffic stop and made contact with both drivers. Kristina Allen, the driver of the second vehicle, was traveling at an unsafe distance from the lead vehicle while it was raining. While Sergeant Macdonald was speaking with Kristina, he noticed the odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle.

She was asked to exit her car and the sergeant located a plastic bag in her pocket that contained multiple marijuana roaches. a tiny bag of marijuana was located in the center console of her vehicle. In the trunk was a plastic bag with a glass jar containing a leafy substance, as well as digital scales and plastic bags.

Kristina Allen was arrested and charged with reckless driving, speeding, possession of marijuana, following too closely, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $9,000.
