Woman granted furlough for rehab; charged with escape for leaving 1 day after signing in

38-year-old Amanda Roberts was charged with escape after she failed to return to jail from rehabilitation at the Hope Center.

On May 12th, Amanda Roberts was granted furloughed to attend the Hope Center for rehabilitation. The Hope Center reported on June 8th that Roberts had checked out the day after checking in, on May 13th. Five months later, on October 13th, Roberts was served her warrant by Stewart County Sheriff’s Officer Tina Matosky.

Amanda Roberts was arrested and charged with escape. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
