29-year-old Ricky Webb was charged with driving on a revoked license, use of stolen vehicle license plate, and driving uninsured after a deputy ran the tags on his broken-down vehicle.

On October 13th, Stewart County Sheriff’s Deputy Miller responded to a report of two people pounding on someone’s door and yelling for a ride at 4939 Highway 49. The residents stated to the people that they would not help them. Deputy Miller made contact with them at another residence nearby and asked them if their vehicle was broken down, to which Ricky Webb responded yes.

When Deputy Miller ran the plates on the car, it was reported to be stolen and Ricky confessed he had driven it before. He could not provide insurance nor registration for the vehicle and had a suspended license due to unpaid fines. Ricky was then taken into custody.

Ricky Webb was arrested and charged with violation of registration law, driving on a revoked license, unregistered vehicle, driving un-insured, and use of a stolen license plate. He was released on a $4,500 bond.
