When Deputy Hearndon arrived, he made contact with Jakeb Jordan. Jakeb was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, appeared to be intoxicated, and was unresponsive to commands. The deputy stated Jakeb attempted to reach for his ignition and grabbed his steering wheel in an attempt to resist deputies while they attempted to remove him from the vehicle.

An open container of alcohol was found in a cup holder within the vehicle. Deputies noticed an odor of marijuana and located a leafy substance inside of an Altoids container. After Jakeb was read his Miranda rights, he stated he had consumed alcohol and marijuana. He claimed he was unable to walk to the patrol vehicle on his own.

Jakeb Jordan was arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, open container laws, criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $5,000.
